A garden on a grand scale

The main aim was to build on the existing landscape with a confident sense of scale — to create a garden with real presence.

The existing path connecting the house and sauna became the basis for a new timber pergola, a rhythmic structure that emphasises the journey through the garden and gives it spatial depth.

Generous, layered planting surrounds the house, combining structured evergreens with looser grasses and richly flowering sweeps of perennials.

Large stones, expressive masses of planting and repeating forms bring everything together into one landscape — a garden that does not try to be modest, but confidently complements the architecture through its scale and character.
